The Agricola Casentinese estate includes 300 hectars of land situated at an altitude between 500 and 1000 metres, half wild bush half organic pasture.
The estate enjoys a privileged position on the border with a national park of the Casentinesi forest. This means our appropriated living areas are surrounded by a rich and natural fauna and home to wild boar (cinghiale), deer, and hares.
The business is primarily based on natural Chianina and Limousine cattle raising.
We also raise the valuable and renowned Cinta Senese swine, situated in the acorn groves. Surrounding the pigs penned seperately are the ostriches, goats, lambs and peacocks.
We provide an abundance of fruits from our orchard and vegetables from our garden. You will have the opportunity to use your time as freely as you wish, satsifying your desires. Upon waking you might see some deer up close or take undisturbed walks around the homestead, and maybe spark your appetite with a quick swim in the panoramic swimming pool or simply catch some rays.
For the sporty types we have mountain bikes available for small adventures on bike paths or trails for hiking and horseback riding excursions. You can also learn to go horseback riding with one of professional and qualified trainers.
Those who are looking for complete contact with nature will be able to dedicate themselves to picking mushrooms or collecting chestnuts.
We have meeting rooms and conference areas available for our guests. There is also an ample restaurant space for banquets and social events.
Our restaurant offers a variety of typical dishes that take advantage of the many resources our farm has available (Chianina beef, wild boar, and Cinta pork).
Examples of Typical dishes would be: Ribollita (Bean soup), Tagliatelle al Cinghiale, homemade ravioli, and homemade gnocchi. |
