A farming business of 120 hectares, situated in the Uccellina Reserve, and in the heart of the Maremma.
It’s ideal for people who love the quiet of this uncontaminated environment accompanied by the appropriate services.
This 1900 farm house is the heart of the farming business.Its history is unique…… in 1838, it was acquired by Leopoldo di Lorenza, in order to drain the Maremma.
It became a convent at the beginning of the 20th Century and after became a cattle shed and granary.
In 2002 the farm house was restored following Maremma Tuscany styles and traditions.
The main objective of this project was to preserve the quiet of the countryside.
The three small farm houses are to be found positioned over an area of 2 hectare guaranteeing silence and privacy.
GIUNCOLA
Within the Giuncola farm house you will find a large and welcoming fireplace, in front of which you can read a good book or sip a good glass of red Morellino wine.
The restaurant was originally an old cattle shed and has been designed to satisfy the tastes of all the guests with dishes inspired by typical Tuscany cooking.
The dream of someone writing to help them enjoy whatever type of stay they have at Giuncola, the sound of silence which is a finishing touch to the birds song and the changing colours of the green country-side.
The love for this corner of the earth has helped to keep nature from changing.
The farm houses, San Luca, San Marco, San Mario offer hospitality with 14 bedrooms furnished following the traditional Maremma style.
SERVICES
The swimming pool is the ideal place for the hotter periods of the day and for enjoying the view of the Maremma.
The Giuncola is an ideal starting point for mountain bike rides in the interior of the Maremma reserve or for spending a day at the seaside.
The restaurant is available for ceremonies or for office meetings.
There are 2 horse-riding stables and a canoe centre about 2 km away.
Agreements for trips by boat or by sailing boats. |
